Below are some examples of the difficulties dentists and assistants encounter when using MidMark Artisan dental equipment. If you have assistants make temporaries, it will probably be very, very difficult for the assistant to work by themselves. Does your assistant have to ever walk out of the room for any reason? Perhaps to get something. Perhaps for an emergency patient. Is your assistant ever sick? It will be very, very hard to work by yourself.

In the image below, if Kayla had to get up, she needs to move this sliding work surface out of the way.  Where is she going to move it?  Depending upon what she wants to get, she may need to tip the patient chair up or the Doctor might have to get up if Kayla needs something directly in front of her.  It is possible Kayla would have to move the sliding surface to her left, in which case the Doctor might have to get up.

Note:  The sliding work surface is just a little high for the Doctor to reach…that is if you put instruments on it.  Likewise, if your Assistant makes temporaries etc. it will probably be a little too high for her.

You have to stand up to reach in these drawers.

Notice how Kayla cannot reach anything except what is on her tray or sliding work surface. Where do you keep impression guns, electrosurge, ultrasonic cleaner or bonding light?

In the following picture you’ll notice that Kayla cannot reach anything.

Kayla cannot reach anything from her seated position.

Imagine that Kayla is a new employee.  Imagine you are a new employee and you are looking up at supply tubs on the shelves.  Since you cannot see what is in the tubs, you have no idea what is in them.  That would not be very efficient.

This is a very difficult door to access

In the following picture, ask yourself, what’s behind this door?  This seems to be the door to nowhere.  Why should I pay for a door and hinges, etc. that does not do anything?  I don’t think I’d believe it unless I saw it.
